About

Welcome!

My name is Andrea, and I am your host.

Here you'll find photographs and observations—collections to explore and connections to make.

Why Bowerbird's Eye?

The bowerbird creates a place. He gathers and arranges objects—seeds, feathers, bones, shells, pieces of glass, plastic, and metal. Individually, they're ordinary. Together, they become something greater than the sum of their parts: a world carefully shaped through curiosity and attention. That's what I hope to do here.

Bowerbird's Eye is a place where photographs, stories, objects, and ideas come together. Some are quiet observations. Some are imagined worlds. All begin with the art of looking.

After years of traveling and living in different places, New York's Finger Lakes region became my home. I've studied printmaking, photography, metalworking, ceramics, writing, and other mediums, following my curiosity wherever it has led. I’ve had many different careers, but today I work for myself, continuing to learn, make, and explore the places where observation, memory, imagination, and the natural world intersect.

I'm so glad you're here.

Take your time. Look around. Wander for a while.
